As chief executive officer of A-G Specialty Insurance, Dixon Gillis has navigated the company through economic downturns, unprecedented growth and a global pandemic. Dixon and his team transformed A-G Specialty Insurance from a company with a singular mission to provide athletic insurance to a powerhouse manager of the risks associated with the expense of student-athlete medical services.

Dixon is charged with maintaining and growing the legacy of the company started by his father, Al Gillis. Dixon’s professional involvement at A-G began as a claims examiner where he learned the core values of serving A-G’s clients while cherishing the relationships with A-G’s business partners. 

Dixon’s passion and drive to develop the premier Sports medical expense risk management firm may very well be the result of his own experience as a member of the men’s rowing team at the University of Pennsylvania and with the United States National Team. Dixon is an avid sports fan, and his favorite team is his Home Team– wife, Carey and four children; Sebastian, Jackson, Dixon and Lexington.
